2019 Infiniti QX50 teased ahead of its LA Auto Show debut

Infiniti is all geared up to showcase its new vehicle at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. The event will start from 28th of this month and the first teaser image of 2019 Infiniti QX50 has surfaced. In the new image, the front grille of the vehicle has been shown. It looks quite similar to the recently revealed QX80, but the new Q50 will be much refined and dynamic. The biggest surprise in the 2019 Infiniti QX50 will be what is under the bonnet. Reports suggest that 2019 QX50 will become first model to be powered with new petrol engine that will use variable compression technology.

It is expected that 2019 Infiniti QX50 will be coming with 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that churns out 268 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque. It will also feature electrically controlled actuator and a unique “elliptic device” called a multilink. This feature will help in enabling in adjusting the compression from 8:1 to 14:1. The new Infiniti QX50 will be fuel efficient by 27 percent thanks to the new engine. This number is based on the outgoing 3.7 liter V6 engine (325 horsepower).

A CVT transmission variant is anticipated soon and it will be the only option. Senior VP of Nissan’s Global Design said in a statement that is a perfect balance between lust and logic.
