At the 2018 New York Auto Show, Hyundai took the opportunity to showcase its US spec Santa Fe. Apart from bold design, there is improved safety and convenience technology. The 2019MY version was previously known as Santa Fe Sport. From now on, five-seater will be known as Santa Fe. The seven-seater three-row variant will be called Santa Fe XL. The diesel version will also occasionally use third-row seat and one-touch folding second-row seats. With respect to the aesthetics of 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, nothing much is changed in the US spec and is quite similar to the European spec. The European spec was showcased at Geneva Motor Show.
The Kona exterior design along large “cascanding” grille, increased dimensions and technologically tweaks make it much better than its predecessor. The cabin of 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe has digital instrument cluster, 8.5 inch head-up display, infotainment system and Hyundai Smart Sense technologies. These technologies comprise of Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Surround View Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Parking Distance Warning. Other features include Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and Rear View Monitor with Parking Guidance is also present.
2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is available in three powertrain options. These are 2.4 liter inline four-cylinder petrol unit, 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol unit, and 2.2 liter diesel engine. Their output is 185hp and 241 Nm of torque, 235hp and 353 Nm of torque, and 190hp and 436Nm of torque respectively. There are many basic features available in basic trim that comprises of Qi wireless charging pad, 640-watt, 12-speaker Infinity stereo system with QuantumLogic Surround Sound technology and the Smart Speed-Dependent Volume Control. The sale of 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe will commence from this summer in US.
