Three years back at New York Auto Show, Chevrolet Malibu was made its world debut. Now, the night-generation of Chevrolet Malibu has finally arrived with fresh styling cues along with new RS trim. Few changes in the 2019 Chevrolet Malibu includes modified grille along with headlights and taillights, new chrome tips, different exhaust tips, colors and wheel design. The lighting units in 2019 Chevrolet Malibu comes with Led technology and is available in LT and Premium grades. However, in Premium grade, there is full LED clusters too.
In the inside of Chevrolet Malibu, there is company’s Infotainment 3 system, which has new 8-inch touchscreen display is standard across all models. If a customer is opting for Premium version, they will be getting analogue instrument cluster makes way for the 8-inch digital system. The LT version comes with reversing camera at no additional cost whereas Premium comprises of standard heated outboard rear seats. 2019 Chevrolet Malibu also gets RS trim just like other models such as Cruze and Traverse. In this update there are black grille and bowtie emblems, rear spoiler, dual exhaust pipes and 18inch alloy wheels.
Though 2019 Chevrolet Malibu RS looks quite aggressive but it is powered turbocharged four-cylinder 1.5 liter engine. The engine delivers an output of 163 horsepower and 349Nm of torque and is paired with new CVT. There is also turbocharged 2.0 liter engine which offers 250 horsepower and 352Nm of torque. The aforementioned engine is mated with nine-speed automatic transmission which is exclusively available on Premier model. 2019 Chevrolet Malibu will be launched this fall and RS trim will have price tag of $25,000.
