When it comes to most powerful and fastest model from Chevrolet, then it is the 2019 Corvette ZR1. This is why 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 takes an important place in their family. The company claims that 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 churns out 755 horsepower and 968Nm of torque. Thankfully, RaceProvenMotorsports managed to get the new Corvette ZR1 and they put it under dyno test. The Corvette in action has VIN No. 4 and comes from StreetSpeed717. They also claim to have the first manually equipped ZR1. We not sure how much truth lies in this claim, but we are only concerned about the sports car.
Nonetheless, we must clear the air regarding what kind of measurements a dyno test provides. Usually, automakers provide figures taken from the crankshift whereas in dyno test, the figures are taken from the wheels. This is the simplest explanation of a dyno test, but one has to take into account driveline losses. A general rule is to reduce 15 percent of the crankshift rating to get wheel rating. So, if everything goes according to plan, we should get 641hp on dyno test. However, as the attached video will reveal that 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 gives 668 horsepower and 873Nm of torque.
In other words, 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 loses out on 12 percent instead of 15 percent which was earlier speculated. A technician in the video also suggested that it will give more power post tuning. The odometer on it read 200 miles and usually, a car needs to be driven around 500 miles to see its full strength. For now, just admire the dyno test of one of the most enticing supercars in the market.
