While the world is waiting for the mid-engine Corvette, Chevrolet has secretly increased the price of entire 2019 Corvette family. The last time this mid-year price increase occurred for Corvette was after C7’s launch. All the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette modes will become expensive starting from December 17 when Chevrolet first introduced the new price list. Nonetheless, the new price list is not available on the customer website. The new pricing list is in possession of Corvette Blogger whose source is Atlantic City based dealer, Kerbeck Corvette. The price hike of 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ranges between $405 and $2,500.
The lest affected 2019 Chevrolet Corvette in the list is 2019 Corvette Stingray, Stingray Z51 and Grand Sport coupe models. They get a price bump of $405 and their convertible siblings gain an additional price of $905. On the other hand, Z06 Coupe and Z06 Convertible will set buyers an addition of $1,405 and $1,905 respectively. However, the major price increase is subjected to range-topping ZR1 and ZR1 Convertible. They get price bump of $2000 and $2500 respectively. Unfortunately, this is not the end as there is more to the leaked information.
Chevrolet is also increasing price of eight-speed automatic transmission option from $1,725 to $1,995. If we consider how many around 80% buyers opt for auto gearbox, the final price of the vehicle will reflect on the bill. Now, if we talk about final price, we have not included destination fees of $1,095 or even the gas guzzler tax fees for Z06 and ZR1. The affected price for 2019 Chevrolet Corvette is only for those whose invoice is from 17th December. Current available 2019 Chevrolet Corvette won’t have increased price. Additionally, invoice for orders sold after December 17 won’t have extra charge.
