Cadillac has revealed the new 2019 CT6 with V-Sport. It is the first hotter version of their range-topping variant. 2019 Cadillac CT6 will also be first model to feature new twin-turbo 4.2 liter V8 engine. This range-topping version also gives us a preview of the facelifted CT6. It will also incorporate new design language of the company which is evident on the new Escala Concept. As mentioned earlier, 2019 Cadillac CT6 is powered with twin-turbo 4.2 liter V8 engine which is estimated to give an output of 550 horsepower and 850Nm of torque.
Cadillac claims that the new engine has clean-sheet design and introduces new elements in it. This offers a perfect balance between performance and efficiency along with compact packaging. The new engine in 2019 Cadillac CT6 adopts “hot-V” configuration. In simpler terms, it means that turbochargers are mounted between heads. It also eliminates turbo lag and helps in reduction of the package. The new V8 engine in 2019 Cadillac CT6 sends the overall power to all fours through 10-speed automatic transmission.
The company added they have revised torque spilt for all-wheel drive system in the 2019 Cadillac CT6. Chassis also incorporates mechanical limited-slip rear differential and a V-Sport specific suspension with modified Magnetic Ride Control dampers. The brake system comes from Brembo and has been specifically made for CT6. It has 19 inch diameter and comprise of four-piston calipers. The new infotainment system is of 10 inches has 1080p. It supports 4G LTE connection for OTA updates. Full specifications of the 2019 Cadillac CT6 has not been disclosed and will be revealed at 2018 New York Auto Show.
