While the world is eagerly awaiting for the 2019 BMW X5 to make its debut at upcoming Paris Motor Show, but we seems to have first images of this vehicle. Even before the debut of 2019 X5 in October, it will make official web debut this summer. The two leaked images of 2019 BMW X5 doesn’t come from the German automaker, but from Russian website Autoreview. At this point of time, we are not sure of its real or not, but few characteristic cues out that it is indeed X5 (Internal name G05).
For instance, the shape and size of front grille along with rear lighting clusters and reflectors in the bumper is quite similar to that of prototypes that we have spotted. The exterior design styling of 2019 BMW X5 seems to be the fusion of new X3 and upcoming X7. Nonetheless, BMW will definitely add some design cues such as oversized double kidney grille to dominate the front grille, spherical tailights and kinked crease on the rear fenders. The interior of the 2019 BMW X5 also receives some drastic changes. Several climate controls and buttons under central screen and new switchgear on the lower center console can be spotted. Digitalized instrument cluster is flanked by large central touchscreen that controls all infotainment functions.
2019 BMW X5 is built on CLAR platform but with new suspension. It will be lighter than the current model even with increased cargo, second and third-row passenger space. The powertrain of 2019 BMW X5 will come from 5-Series that are 2.0 four, 3.0-liter straight-six and 4.4-liter eight-cylinder turbocharged gasoline respectively. The diesel unit comprises of 2.0-liter four and 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo. The most powerful version is X5 M as it offers 592 horsepower from twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 units. The engine is works with xDrive all-wheel drive.
