The US bound long wheelbase variant is based on VW’s Modular Transverse Matrix MQB architecture like the latest gen Tiguan available all around the world. It is also used by the larger Atlas. If compared to the outgoing model this stretched Volkswagen Tiguan is 4.4 inches long with 109.9 inches of wheelbase. 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan includes an optional third row and sliding second row seats. The current is still available in the US. The long wheelbase 2018 version is 10.7 inches longer.
It enjoys the same overhauled design like the latest generation model is offered. It means the design is much edgier. It incorporates a plethora of aggressive and straight lines to make it more curvaceous shape. The interior of the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan will be optioned with VW Digital Cockpit display.
