Kia released the images of 2018 Kia Picanto ahead of its debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show. It is designed by teams in Frankfurt, Germany and Namyang, South Korea. The new Picanto has 15 mm longer wheelbase. Now it spans 2,400 millimeter and pushes the wheels into each corner. It is combined with short overhangs and makes a more confident appearance and sportier. The model maintains the same length with the one it replaces at 3,595 mm. But this model will offer cargo space and more cabin than rivals in the segment.
Inside the cabin you will get nothing common with its previous generation Picanto. It has been reworked. There is a digital display between the 2 circular instrument cluster dials. The newly shaped dashboard dominated by the table style screen for the infotainment system. The manufacturer promised that the floating touchscreen infotainment system will have the latest in car technologies for the occupants. It means it will have Android Auto connectivity and Apple Car Play. The 2018 Kia Picanto will have automatic climate control, leather seats with contrast stitching, USB and AUX ports, heated front seats, a multifunctional steering wheel and others. These features will be available either as optional or standard.
There are no details on the engine lineup. But according to the rumors it will include three cylinder unit 1.0 liter turbocharger with 120 HP and 100 HP. All the details of 2018 Kia Picanto will be revealed in March after the city car comes on set at the Swiss automotive event. The sales of the model are scheduled to begin at the end of the third quarter of 2017.
