2018 Hyundai Sonata Facelift got released at the New York Auto Show. The car looks almost similar to the Korean model. This Korean model was launched last month. The brand new 2018 Sonata features a sporty fascia in the front and a bigger grille. Moreover, LED infused headlights flank it. The 2018 Hyundai Sonata Facelift has new alloy wheels, restyled taillights, and a backside Hyundai badge. However, the Sonata Sport as well as Sonata 2.0T took a step ahead. The mesh grille, glossy black window trim and special bumper form the distinguishable features of the two models.
2018 Hyundai Sonata Facelift cabin induces a sense of déjà vu. A revised instrument cluster, new three-spoke steering wheel and an upgraded center stack with switchgear are added to it. However, the car also includes an updated infotainment system along with second row USB charging port. A refined navigation system with bird eye view is also there. Moreover, for safety font, the car has Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Detection system. Buyers can even equip their car with a refined Lane Keep Assist function and new Lane Departure Warning system.
2018 Hyundai Sonata Facelift is constructed with more rigid torsion bar. It also features a steering recalibrated system. These modifications will improve responsiveness and on-center steering feel. Moreover, the rear suspension system is even modified by Hyundai. The company added new bushings and thick trailing arms to improve handling of heavy suspension load. However, Sonata 2.0T will have 2.0 liter turbocharged engine like before and it delivers 245 hp. But the earlier six-speed unit will be replaced by new eight-speed automatic transmission.
