GMC announced the pricing and technical details of the upcoming 2018 Terrain. 2018 GMC Terrain will go on sale by this summer and will be offered in three turbocharged engine options. The engines are 1.5 liter petrol engine, 2.0 liter petrol engine and 1.6 liter diesel engine which give an output of 170 horsepower, and 252 horsepower (for 2.0 liter and 1.6 liter diesel engine) respectively. The entry level 1.5 liter petrol engine works in conjugation with nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Other features of this entry level engine are GMC Traction Select system, LED daytime running lights and headlights and keyless open and start. 2018 GMC Terrain made its debut at Detroit Auto Show and would compete against the likes of Ford Escape, Toyota RAV4, and Honda CR-V. On the exterior, 2018 GMC Terrain looks little bit different from its predecessor thanks to few weird angles. Nonetheless, it does look like any other GMC vehicle. Apart from new trim, one would also find 7 and 8 inch infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The range topping 2018 GMC Terrain is the Denali version. It will be offered in 2.0 liter engine as standard and would come with additional interesting features. It consists of 19 inch alloy wheels, heated steering wheel, seven-speaker Bose audio system, LED headlamps, 8 inch infotainment system with navigation, and other safety systems. The entry level 2018 GMC Terrain is SL FWD variant is priced from $25,970 whereas the AWD petrol version starts from $30,545. The range topping Denali FWD version is priced from $38,495. The mentioned price excludes tax, license and dealers fees.
