The engine is mated with 10-speed automatic transmission and also gives accurate and faster shifts with better low speed responses. Drag-strip mode is one of the five driving modes and according to Ford it is designed to give maximum acceleration and performance. It eliminates the problem of lost time which is associated with automatic shifting. In the Drag-Strip mode, engine torque doesn’t stop when one is shifting it. One gets peak torque and horsepower straight through the tanks thanks to the 10-speed transmission.
