An anonymous source quoted that the new 2018 BMW M5 could be unveiled to the world on 21st August. This new surfaced on BMW Blog website and is quite interesting just before the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show. At this event the public will get to see this highly anticipated super sedan. The German automaker has already revealed lot of information about the new M5. 2018 BMW M5 is powered with 4.4 liter biturbo V8 engine and is expected to churn out 600 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The stats closely matched with the Mercedes-AMG E63 S.
The hardware allows the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds. BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system can be operated in rear wheel drive mode. The incorporation of the new all-wheel drive system makes it stand out with its predecessor. The all-wheel drive system comes in three modes and they are 4WD, 4WD Sport and 2WD. 4WD Sport offers bit of slip whereas in 2WD all the power is sent through the rear wheels. On the exterior, 2018 BMW M5 has broad lower fascia and has carbon ceramic breaks, carbon fiber roof and pair of circular exhaust tips.
The interior on the other hand, is quite a mystery. However, we could expect it with bolstered seats and thick rimming steering wheels. A 205 mph speedometer is included in the digital instrument cluster. Even though the revelation of the new BMW M5 is coming soon, don’t expect its delivery any soon. Some report suggests that it might arrive in 2018. For now, we have to wait for few more weeks to see what else BMW has in store for us.
