After months of anticipation, the details of 2018 BMW M5 have been released. 2018 BMW M5 will be powered with 4.4 liter M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine that produces an output of 592 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with eight-speed M Steptronic transmission which helps the car to accelerate from o to 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds. BMW describes this version as most exciting and high performing sedan. 2018 BMW M5 comes with M xDrive all-wheel drive system.

The specifically designed system comprises of Central intelligence Unit that helps it deliver integral control over longitude and lateral dynamics. 2018 BMW M5 will remain rear wheel drive for most of time and the traction is transferred to front wheels when required. The all-wheel driving system comprises of three driving modes which are 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD Sport respectively. The 2WD driving mode deactivates the all-wheel drive system and turns it into a conventional classic rear-drive. Apart from the AWD system, 2018 BMW M5 also has Active M Differential. It distributes the power amongst rear wheels.

According to BMW, the new M5 outperforms the predecessor with respect to output and torque. The interior is similar to the standard model, but the new version comes with new shifter and M sports steering wheel that comes with two configurable M Drive buttons. Drivers of 2018 BMW M5 will also be getting enhanced Head-Up display that has new graphics, navigation functionality and 70% larger viewing space.
