The new 2018 Audi TT RS will make its debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show. It will give stiff competition to the BMW M2 ($52,500) and Porsche 718 Cayman S ($67,700). 2018 Audi TT RS is one of the most powerful TT variant till date. It can be attributed to 2.5 liter five-cylinder TFSI engine. The hardware produces 400 horsepower and torque of 354 lb-ft. It will come with Quattro all-wheel drive system and will have exclusive seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Audi TT RS is simply amazing and according to company it can accelerate 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds.
The top speed of 2018 Audi TT RS is limited to 155 mph but the German carmaker promised that they can increase it. For that customers can opt for Dynamic plus package which will increase the top speed to 174 mph. The Quattro all-wheel drive system sends 100 percent of torque to rear axle. It constantly adjusts the torque distribution between the rear axles. It is the first time when Audi has connected Quattro AWD system with Audi drive select system. 2018 Audi TT RS is available in our modes and they are comfort, sport, auto and individual respectively.
All variants are equipped with magnetic ride suspension that is helpful in adjusting the dampers according to the conditions and drive mode and just take few milliseconds to do it. Many Porsche fans are disappointed with the new Cayman as it sounds like a loud Subaru. The new Audi TT RS certainly doesn’t lack the oomph factor and have terrific sound thanks to the five-cylinder engine. The starting price of 2018 Audi TT RS is $64,900 and an additional destination charge of $975. It is scheduled to be launched in spring.
