Subaru Japan will offer the exclusive 2017 Subaru BRZ GT model for the Japan market. At least for once the US fans don’t get left out. The optional Performance package cost $1,195 only on the manual Limited model. However, in Japan the new BRZ GT will have a separate trim either with manual six speed gearbox or six speed automatic. The former will have a starting price of 3,315,600 Yen and the latter will be priced from 3,375,000 Yen. Both will be paired to a 2.0 litre standard boxer engine.
In the United States, with the Performance Package the GT trim includes Sachs dampers. It is claimed that I will provide better control when cornering and more composed ride, rear brakes ad larger front with Brembo calipers. In order to greater fade resistance and improve stopping power and 17 inch black painted aluminum wheels. The 2017 Subaru BRZ GT has some more upgrades. Like the front heated, a dedicated rear spoiler, the Alcantara and leather seats. The facelifted BRZ was announced in July in Japan.
The automaker also released a special edition which is named as the 2017 Subaru BRZ GT Yellow. It has the same performance features. It is exclusively painted in yellow and has interior décor .It has yellow stitching throughout its interior. IT also comes on the dash panels and door, steering wheel, shifter boot and knee pads and on the seats. Only 100 units are made. It will be available in this fall. The US customers will have to wait till 2017.
