Once again, 2017 Ford GT owned by WWE superstar is heading towards auction. Incidentally, this is the third time this muscle car is going for auction as it was already sold in the month of October. Hence, after this auction, 2017 GT will have its fourth owner. In the month of August, an elderly farmer based in California purchased it from Monterey Car Week. The asking price at that time was $1.4 million. Now, 2017 Ford GT is heading for another auction by Mecum. Autoblog reports that the California owner added just one mile to the Liquid Blue muscle car after purchasing it from Monterey.
Overall, odometer on the 2017 Ford GT reads just 636 miles on it. Even though this car has tumultuous history, but still it remains a desirable GT. Just like other Ford GT, it is also powered with twin-turbocharged 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine. The engine is rated at 647hp and 677Nm of torque. This enables the road going car to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in around 3 seconds before reaching the top speed of 216mph. Serial number of GT is 77 along with low mileage appears to be in top shape.
John Cena has been sued by Ford for selling the car before the stipulated time. He signed an agreement which stated that owner will not list the car during the first two years of ownership. John Cena paid $466,376 for 2017 GT. Not much is known the amount he sold for but two parties settled the case for undisclosed amount. It is believed that this is the only Ford GT in the world which can be sold without any repercussions. This might be reason why the current owner is looking to make a huge profit out of it after less than month of ownership.
