The 2017 Audi A5 and S5 Coupe are revealed. The all new A5 Coupe looks almost like its predecessor, despite of the mechanical differences which came with the adoption of the MLB evo platform. The Audi A5 features 0.25 class leading drag coefficient. Its engine range consists of three diesel and two petrol units. As it is the most potent model now the new S5 Coupe can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds. The newly developed V6 turbo engine at the same time claims to return a combined 32.2 mpg US.
The lowered power V6 TDI 3.0 litre version and 4 cylinder models can be paired with dual clutch seven speed transmission or 6 speed manual. The 268 HP version of V6 TDI 3.0 litre and the S5 are offered with 8 speed automatic gearbox. Along with it Audi offers the rear axle sport differential for better handling. It will be as an option for both the 2017 Audi A5 and S5. Now the cabin has more space due to the longer wheelbase. Its dashboard design is same as the A4.
It features ambient lighting, virtual Cockpit display and continuous air vent strip as an option. Its infotainment system display is of 8.3 inch controlled by a familiar rotary pushbutton with a touchpad. The new A5 Coupe has the latest active safety systems. Like the cross traffic assist rear, Audi Pre Sense systems, turn assist and collision avoidance assists and the Stop-go adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist. The new 2017 Audi A5 and S5 Coupe will be launched in other European countries and Germany this fall.
